LOCATION
Visitors are welcome to explore and enjoy all the countryside
surrounding the farm foxes and roe deer are a relatively common sight
together with many varieties of birds, depending on the season. We
are within fifteen minutes drive of Northumberland National Park to the
west, the Scottish border to the north and even closer to miles of
uncrowded sandy beaches to the east. Nearby there are many good golf
courses, an excellent horse riding centre and permit fishing on the
River Till. The farm is one mile from the 'St Cuthbert's Walk'.
Further inland there are a wealth of historic homes open
to the public including Alnwick Castle and the now famous Alnwick Garden,
Cragside, Chillingham Castle, Floors Castle to mention but a few.
Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills offer wonderful
opportunities to walk and explore wild, unspoilt country in comparative
peace and solitude.
